Captain Tracie Meidl, is the highest ranking woman in the Spokane Police Department.  She is a wonderful person and a great Officer.  I met Tracie when I was a senior in high school, at the time Tracie was a Corporal.  I had to do a senior project, which i chose it on the Spokane Police Dept.  I did my ride along's with her and it was the greatest experience I've got to do in a week.  I got to see first hand training they go though to get into the police force, from fire arms, crime, patrol, tickets, and much more. To see Tracie now in charge of the South Precinct is amazing.  I was so happy when I ran into her and she asked "if i would like to photograph them" and of course I said "yes."  Here is what she had to say about the south precinct is about.

"The South Precinct has 7 Law Enforcement employees (1 Captain, 1 Lieutenant, 2 Detectives, and 3 Neighborhood Resource Officers) and partners with Washington State Department of Corrections and Spokane C.O.P.S. volunteers.  We work on crime prevention, property crime investigations, and neighborhood and nuisance problems the majority of the time."

Thank You Spokane Police department for all your hard work, dedication and keeping the city safe.
