Saoirse Horse Photography

We had just a great time with this shoot so many great photos to choose from, so many laughter over the horses and us being dumb lol. The back story on how I met her and her beautiful horses, Fall of 2021 I was photographing a maternity shoot at Beacon Hill in Spokane, WA and we just loved her horse Brandy she is so pretty, so I asked her if it was ok that we used her Horse for a few shots and she said yeah she don't mind and Brandy was so photogenic and came right up to the couple and laid her head on her belly, we were all in aww and omg, there was so much excitement and could not believe that happened. So I added her on all the medias and I just thought one day I would messenger her and asked if she would be down for a shoot and it was perfect timing since she was moving in 2 weeks.

I asked her for some action shots and a glamor ones in a dress and she agreed it would be fun, so she asked me if I can ride a horse and was not scared to and I said nope not all lets do this, So we Horse backed in to the meadows of Beacon Hill, it was a nice ride and smooth, my horse for the afternoon was a dude named Buck, and he was a great horse slow and smooth until he got to far away from his Lady Brandy that he would take off to be near her. Once we made it to the meadows Saoirse and Brandy took off in circles and Buck was right behind them even though it wasn't his shoot he was still in some, because see Brandy is his lady and he loves her and always wants to be near her, so we got those great shots with all their hairs in the wind. She asked me what to wear and I gave ideas and she found this beautiful vintage dress a co-worker of hers let her borrow, and man did it look great and flow with Brandy.

I cant Thank Saoirse enough for such an awesome experience, between horse back riding, getting to meet these amazing horses and getting these shots, I hope I can meet up with her again and this time in Vegas where her, Brandy & Daisy have moved to, because this was so much fun.

I love to ask questions to my clients as a feel to know who they are and these are what we have!

What got you into horses? I’ve always loved horses. My extended family had them when I was young, but we could never afford one of our own. As an adult, my health really took a turn. With the support of family, I bought Brandy and started building a paddock. It’s helped my mental and physical health every day since. Brandy is your first one you have owed how is that going? It has certainly been a learning curve. I’ve laughed, cried, and hit the ground more times than I can count. But there has never been a day I’ve not felt at peace when I stand beside her. How old is Brandy and buck? Brandy is 22. Buck is around 16 or 17. How has this adventure been owning horses? Well, my wallet hates me and when I wake up in the morning, every joint in my body pops. Worth it. Now that you have Daisy How is that going? Daisy May was an accident. My coworker/friend got her off the range, and they just didn’t mesh well. It happens a lot. Most people don’t bond with most horses. Nobody’s fault. I finally agreed to take her, thinking I’d get her a little training and find her a good home. I’ve now done both, and she’s home to stay with me and smart as a whip. What did it mean to get these photos done for yourself? Christy and I met last fall when I stumbled upon her during a Halloween-themed photoshoot. My dad and I were riding up on Beacon, and I wanted to see who these crazy people were, who were having a seance in the middle of the pathway. (I also definitely wanted to know if I could join). Brandy ended up making it into one of their photos, which I adore. It warms my heart to see people enjoy my kiddos. 9 months later, Christy contacted me again to see if I wouldn’t mind showing up for another photoshoot with the couple and their new baby. Turned out, I was moving to Nevada the week before they had it scheduled, and it couldn’t be managed. Instead, Christy offered to do a photoshoot with Brandy and I, so we packed up the horses, plopped her on Buck, and had the time of our lives. I so wish we could have done it again before I had to leave. She’s a phenomenal photographer, and somehow an even more wonderful human.

"A great horse will change your life. The truly special ones define it..."
"No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle."
“When you are on a great horse, you have the best seat you will ever have.”
“Those who get in the way of love’s path will be kicked by horses.”
